For all the wine lovers out there, St. Pete has plenty of places for you. While it doesn’t have large vineyards like some other destinations, that doesn’t mean there aren’t awesome wineries or places to enjoy a glass in the town.

As you plan your trip to St. Pete, planning out the places you want to make time for can make your travels easier. There’s a St. Petersburg winery for everyone here, it just depends on what wine you like and the atmosphere you enjoy best. Check out some of the best wineries and wine bars St. Petersburg has to offer.

The Florida Winery

It’s no secret that Florida isn’t known for its wines, but that’s what makes The Florida Winery so special. Here, you’ll find a variety of unique bottles of wine that you have to try when you’re in St. Pete or the surrounding area. All the wine that the winery produces is made right in the facility in John’s Pass, only a few minutes from the white sandy beaches everyone loves.

The winery itself is pretty small, at only 900 square feet, but they manage to produce a large quantity of wine in such a small space. You can visit the winery and taste some of their creations and then pop into the store if you want to browse or purchase a bottle or two to take back to your rental.

Some of their most popular wines include Pure Paradise Cranberry Wine, the Pirate Mead, and Chocolate Covered Blanche. They have more classic options, but these unique creations are what make The Florida Winery so special.

If you want to visit The Florida Winery, you’ll find it at John’s Pass. The address is 12945 Village Boulevard, Madeira Beach, FL 33708.

It’s a great place when you and whoever else you’re with have different tastes in wine because everyone can find something to enjoy.

You can visit here and simply take your time tasting different wines, or you can choose to do a tasting while enjoying a great meal. When you visit here, you can choose to sit at a table and order whatever wines you want, but the most popular thing to do here is attend happy hour for discounted food and wine, but also participate in a wine tasting. The wine tasting is a great experience where you’ll enjoy different wines that they carefully pair with food that is not only delicious but also compliments the flavors of the wine.

As for their wines, they have a little bit of everything. Whether you love reds, whites, or more unique wines, they’ll have something you’ll enjoy here.

Dracula’s Legacy

One of the coolest St. Petersburg bars is Dracula’s Legacy. This wine bar has a dark atmosphere, based on Dracula. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into old-school Europe while you enjoy different wines and food.

The wine options you’ll have when you visit here generally all come from Europe, but they serve all sorts of wines. From cabernets to pinot grigios to port wines and everything in between, you are sure to find something you will enjoy here. Whatever you choose to drink, be sure to check out their cheese boards or other appetizers that you can eat while sipping your wine.

They often have live music, and their bar serves beer, cider, seltzers, coffee, cigars, and wine. When you’re finished enjoying your wine, you can purchase wine to take back to your rental. They often have deals like buy one get one free, so it’s worth looking at before you leave.
